Spunlace

Spunlace

Different production processes are used in the manufacture of fibre webs for water jet nonwovens. The prepared fibre webs in this process are bonded and structured using a water jet. In this way the fibres of the web are interlaced by extremely fine water jets under high pressure. Using this method the fibre material can be adequately bonded without the use of additional binding methods.

This process can be applied to almost all types of webs, however dried webs are mainly used. During the production process the web is transported through the manufacturing plant using a transport sieve. In the final process the drying of the material is carried out followed by further refining. Water jet nonwovens are also known as spunlace.
